The Original Church Building
How It Began
We’re based in a sweet little old church in Forest Glen on the Sunshine Coast in beautiful Queensland, Australia. It’s the perfect building to display all our lovely quilts with the high cathedral ceilings.
The church is close to Buderim, one hour north of Brisbane and 30 minutes south of Noosa. Take exit 200 on the Bruce Hwy.
Gemma Cunningham recently became the new owner of this wonderful business.
Gemma is from Bundaberg and has moved to the Sunshine Coast to run this fun and exciting business.
She started Patchwork when her children were small to get some grown-up time. Since then her passion has grown. She has previously run her own online business with her daughter Ellie. She decided it was time for her to pursue her passion on a bigger scale.
Gemma has 4 children 14,16,17 and 21. So, she has been a busy Mum.
She looks forward to sharing her love of fabric and especially Tilda with our customers.
She has lots of plans for running weekend stitching retreats and classes.
We carry a huge range of patchwork and quilting patterns, fabric and notions to suit any sewing enthusiast.
We are always ready to help with colour choices and design suggestions. We love to visit local groups and share the passion we have for Patchwork, quilting, sewing and stitchery.
Our retail store is open: Monday – Friday 9am-4.30pm and Saturday 9am – 2pm.
